Dear deviantART,

This Pokéball art fad is really starting to wear out its welcome.  Adding a shiny gradient effect to a stock 3D model pokéball isn't really all that impressive, especially when you do it 10,000 times with only minor alterations.

I'd love to be impressed with this kind of art, but you guys aren't even TRYING.  Alter the shape of the ball, give them specific designs...  Do SOMETHING besides adding an abstract flare effect of the appropriate color (even worse are those shitty image overlays - oh wow, the Charizard looks like it's inside the ball because you warped the image a little bit!)
